11 Best WordPress Agencies in Singapore (2026)
The best WordPress agencies in Singapore, each checked on its own site, compared on custom themes or page builders, WooCommerce, takeovers and maintenance.

The short answer
- 01
Ask how the site will be built. A custom theme keeps pages on brand and light. A page builder lets your marketing team build pages themselves. Both are fine if the agency tells you which one you are getting.
- 02
Plan for the years after launch. WordPress needs tested updates and backups every week or so. Pick an agency that maintains sites, including ones it did not build.
- 03
Keep everything in your company's name. Domain, hosting, admin login and plugin licences should all be yours, so you can change agency without rebuilding.
The best WordPress agency in Singapore for you builds the site the way your team will edit it, and stays to look after it after launch.
Hosting and logins matter as much as design. Each agency below was checked on its own website for how it builds, WooCommerce, takeovers and maintenance.
Last checked: October 2026, on each agency's own website. JIN Design is our agency and is listed first. Everyone else is in alphabetical order. If you already want to talk to us, our WordPress development page shows what we build.

Should a WordPress agency build a custom theme or use a page builder?
It depends on who will edit the site. A custom theme suits brand-led sites that staff update through set fields, and a page builder suits marketing teams that build new pages every month.
On their own sites, Chillybin and Xantec describe custom themes as their usual approach. Lemonade builds with the Divi theme, and Awebstar and Webdorks mention Elementor for some projects.
What matters is that you know before you sign. A site built on a page builder is easy for any builder user to edit, but it depends on that builder’s licence and updates. A custom theme is lighter, but the next agency needs clean, documented code to pick it up.
The best WordPress agencies in Singapore, reviewed one by one
1. JIN Design
A Singapore web agency that designs and builds custom WordPress sites, takes over sites other developers built and looks after them after launch.
We have built and looked after WordPress sites since 2015. Each site gets a theme designed for the brand, with custom post types and Advanced Custom Fields, so your staff fill in set fields and new pages stay on brand. When a marketing team wants to build pages visually, we use Elementor with saved layouts instead.
Inherited a site from another developer? We check it on a copy first, covering every plugin, admin user, form and page speed, then fix the worst problems first. Stores run on WooCommerce with PayNow through a supporting payment gateway.
Every site goes live on a managed hosting platform set up in your company’s name, and the hosting provider looks after the server. Forms that collect personal data get PDPA consent wording from the start. After launch, our website maintenance plans cover tested updates, backups and small edits, for sites we built and sites we did not.

Can a WordPress agency build a WooCommerce store with PayNow?
Yes. WooCommerce runs inside WordPress, so your shop, pages and blog share one site and one login.
PayNow comes through a payment gateway that offers it as a payment method, alongside cards. Before you choose an agency, ask which gateway it has set up before and how refunds work.
If you are GST-registered, the prices customers see must include GST, which IRAS sets at 9%. Ask the agency to show you a test order with GST on the invoice before launch. Delivery options for Singapore addresses, such as same-day zones or self-collection, are worth setting up at the same time.
Our WooCommerce development page covers how we build stores. If you have not picked a platform yet, ask each agency why it would choose WooCommerce over Shopify for your products.
Will a new WordPress agency take over a site someone else built?
Most will, after a review. The site has a history of plugins, users and settings that nobody on the new team has seen, so a careful agency checks a copy first.
A takeover starts with the hosting and domain logins. Check that both are in the company’s name, and that premium plugin licences are not held in the previous developer’s account. Moving those to the company comes before any fix. The hosting provider continues to look after the server.
Ask whether the review is charged, and what you get from it. A written list of problems, ranked by risk, is more useful than a single quote to fix everything.
What should WordPress maintenance include after launch?
Tested updates, off-site backups and someone who answers when the site breaks. Plugins release updates often, and an update applied straight to the live site is a common way for a working WordPress site to break.
A good plan tests updates on a copy first, keeps backups off the server that runs the site, watches uptime and sends a report you can read. Ask how fast they respond and how fast they fix, because those are different numbers.
Our website maintenance page shows what we cover. For other providers, see our list of website maintenance companies in Singapore.
Should your WordPress hosting be in your company’s name?
Yes. Whoever owns the hosting account controls the site, its backups and its email settings.
Some agencies host every client on their own server or a partner host. That can be convenient, and it is worth asking what happens if you leave. A managed WordPress host set up in your company’s name, with the agency added as a user, lets you change agency without moving the site.
For .sg domains, check that your company is the registrant in your registrar account, and keep that login yourself.
Do WordPress forms in Singapore need PDPA consent?
Yes, if they collect personal data such as names, phone numbers or email addresses. The PDPA expects you to tell people why you collect their details and to get their consent, and the PDPC’s guidance says silence or inaction is not consent.
In practice, that means consent wording next to the submit button, an unticked box for marketing, and a link to your privacy policy. Ask the agency where form entries are stored, who can see them, and whether they are kept in the WordPress database, an email inbox or a CRM.
Xantec and Verz Design mention PDPA on their own sites. Whoever you hire, ask to see the consent wording before launch.
Questions to ask a WordPress agency before you sign
Send these to every agency on your shortlist, and compare the answers in writing.
Two answers tell you the most. An agency that can explain why it chose each plugin will usually keep the site lighter. An agency that maps every old URL to a new one before launch is protecting the Google traffic you already have.
For quotes, ask for design, development, content, migration and maintenance as separate lines. Our guide to website cost in Singapore explains what each line usually covers.
What should you own when a WordPress agency hands over the site?
Everything you would need to move to another agency tomorrow.
Premium plugin and theme licences are the item most often missed. If they are in the agency’s name, updates stop when the relationship ends.
WordPress agency, freelancer or in-house developer?
| Option | Often suits | Ask about |
|---|---|---|
| WordPress agency | Sites that need design and development in one project | Who covers leave, and who owns the code and hosting |
| Freelance developer | Small sites with a clear, fixed scope | Who stands in if they are busy or away |
| In-house developer | Businesses with a steady stream of website work | Where logins and documentation are kept |

How we chose these WordPress agencies
Every agency here builds WordPress websites, has a Singapore address on its own site, and describes its WordPress work clearly enough to compare fairly. Each entry is written only from what the agency’s own website says, and where it does not say something, we say so.
Screenshots show each agency’s homepage or the page for its WordPress or related service. We re-check this list every quarter.
How JIN Design builds WordPress sites
We have built and looked after WordPress sites since 2015, as part of more than 200 websites. Each one gets a theme designed for the brand, or Elementor when your team wants to build pages visually, on hosting in your company’s name, with the server looked after by the hosting provider.
If you have a WordPress site that needs work, or a new one to plan, see our WordPress development page or talk to us.
Frequently asked questions
What are the best WordPress web designers in Singapore?
The best one for you builds the way your team will edit the site, has done WooCommerce if you sell online, takes over sites it did not build and maintains them afterwards. This guide lists JIN Design first, as our own agency, then Singapore WordPress agencies in alphabetical order, each checked on its own website.
Is a custom WordPress theme better than a page builder?
Neither is better for everyone. A custom theme gives editors set fields, keeps layouts on brand and usually loads faster. A page builder such as Elementor or Divi lets a marketing team build new layouts without a developer. Ask the agency which one it would use for you, and why.
How much does a WordPress website cost in Singapore?
It depends on the number of unique page layouts, who writes the content, WooCommerce or other integrations, and whether an old site has to be moved. Send the same brief to two or three agencies and compare itemised quotes. Our guide to website cost in Singapore covers what each line should include.
Can a WordPress agency take over a site another developer built?
Usually, yes. Most agencies first copy the site to a staging area and check its plugins, admin users, speed and forms. Some charge for that review. Make sure you can give them the domain, hosting and WordPress admin logins, ideally already in your company's name.
Does WooCommerce support PayNow in Singapore?
Yes, through a payment gateway that offers PayNow as a payment method. Ask the agency which gateway it would use, what the fees are, and how refunds and GST appear on orders and invoices.
Should my WordPress hosting be in my company's name?
Yes. If the hosting account belongs to the agency, moving away later depends on them. A managed WordPress host set up in your company's name, with the agency added as a user, keeps you in control.
Do I need WordPress maintenance after launch?
Yes. WordPress core, the theme and plugins release updates often, and most WordPress security issues are found in plugins. A maintenance plan should test updates before they reach the live site, back up the site off the server and tell you what changed each month.
