20 Best Website Maintenance Companies in Singapore (2026)
Compare 20 website maintenance companies in Singapore: what each plan covers, platforms, takeovers, hosting, pros and cons, and how to choose the right one.

The short answer
- 01
Know what a real plan includes. Updates, daily off-site backups, security, uptime monitoring and a tested way to restore the site.
- 02
Response time beats feature lists. Ask how fast they respond and how fast they fix, in writing.
- 03
Match the platform. Most plans are built for WordPress. Shopify, Drupal or custom sites need a team that lists them.
A website maintenance company keeps your site updated, backed up, secure and online for a monthly fee. The right one depends mostly on three things: your platform, how fast you need problems fixed, and whether you want hosting included.
Below we compare 20 Singapore companies on exactly those points, then cover what a good plan includes and the contract details most guides skip.

What a website maintenance plan should include
Plans vary a lot. Some are little more than hosting with backups. Others include a monthly bank of hours for changes and a named person who looks after your site.
The last two matter most. Ask how fast they respond when something breaks, and whether they have ever actually restored a site from backup.
How often maintenance should happen
Not everything needs doing every week. This schedule works for most business sites.
Website maintenance companies in Singapore

A Singapore web design agency that maintains WordPress sites, including ones it did not build, and the AI-powered websites it builds.
We maintain WordPress websites for Singapore businesses, including online stores, membership and quotation sites and custom-built WordPress, whether we built them or not. Plugin, theme and core updates run every week, each one tested and reviewed. Daily off-site backups are password-protected on cloud storage with one-click recovery, and security covers vulnerability patches, IP monitoring and a Premium Wordfence licence.
AI reads plugin changelogs and security advisories before each update and flags the risky ones, compares screenshots of key pages afterwards to catch layout breaks, and drafts a plain-English monthly report that our team reviews. We also look after the AI-powered websites we build, and can move your site to an AI-powered build when WordPress no longer fits.

Things to check

Good fit for: government, enterprise and larger organisation sites.
How to choose a maintenance company
Ask every company the same questions, and get the answers in writing.
- Which platforms do you maintain? WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify, Drupal or custom code.
- Will you take over a site you did not build? Most will, after an audit. Ask if the audit is charged.
- How often are backups taken, where are they stored, and how long are they kept?
- Do you test updates before they go live? A staging site prevents broken pages.
- How fast do you respond, and how fast do you fix? These are different numbers.
- What does the monthly report show? You should understand it without a developer.
Response time vs resolution time
Response time is how quickly someone acknowledges the problem. Resolution time is how quickly it is fixed. A two-hour response with no fix by tomorrow does not help much.
Also check:
- Business hours. Are response times counted in Singapore business hours only?
- Weekends and public holidays. Who answers if the site goes down on a Sunday?
- Hours banks. If the plan includes hours for changes, do unused hours roll over?
Red flags
- No mention of backups, or backups kept on the same server as the site.
- Updates applied straight to the live site with no testing.
- No monthly report.
- A long lock-in with no notice period.
- Your domain or hosting registered in their name.
Contract and ownership checklist
Most people only read this part of the contract when they want to leave. Read it first.
For .sg domains, check that your company is the registrant, not the agency. You can see the registrant details in your domain registrar’s account.
Switching from your current developer
If your current developer is slow or has disappeared, moving to a maintenance company is usually straightforward. Gather these first:
- Domain registrar login
- Hosting or server login
- Website admin login (for example, WordPress administrator)
- FTP or SFTP and database access, if you have them
- Any premium plugin or theme licences
- Google Analytics, Search Console and Tag Manager access
The new company will usually audit the site, take a fresh backup, fix anything urgent, and then start the regular schedule.
What a good monthly report shows
A monthly report should let you see, in a few minutes, that the site is safe and working. Look for:
- Updates applied, and anything held back and why
- Uptime for the month and any downtime incidents
- Proof that backups ran, and when one was last test-restored
- Security scan results
- Speed or Core Web Vitals
- Hours used and changes made
PDPA and security
If your website has a contact form, a booking system or an online store, it holds personal data. Under the PDPA you are responsible for protecting it, even if a vendor runs the site.
If a data breach is likely to be notifiable, you must tell the PDPC within 3 calendar days of assessing that it is. Outdated plugins are one of the most common ways sites get hacked, which is why weekly updates matter.
When comparing vendors, it is reasonable to ask how they secure logins, who has access, and whether they hold a recognised security mark such as CSA’s Cyber Essentials.
What affects the cost of website maintenance
There is no standard price, because no two sites need the same work. These are the main factors:
- Platform. WordPress with many plugins needs more updating than a hosted platform.
- Size and complexity. More pages, languages and integrations mean more to check.
- Online sales. Stores need closer monitoring, because downtime costs money.
- How often content changes. A bank of hours for edits adds to the plan.
- Response times. Faster guaranteed fixes cost more.
Most companies charge in one of four ways:
| Model | How it works | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly plan | A fixed fee for an agreed set of tasks | Most business sites |
| Retainer with hours bank | A monthly fee that includes hours for changes | Sites that change often |
| Prepaid credits or hour blocks | Buy hours in advance, use them as needed | Occasional work |
| Per job | A fixed fee for one task, such as malware removal | One-off fixes |
Watch for costs outside the plan: premium plugin licences, hosting, domain renewals, a first-time audit, and emergency fixes such as hacked-site cleanup. Ask whether prices include GST.
On grants: do not assume ongoing maintenance is claimable. Check the current scheme rules on GoBusiness and ask the vendor in writing.
Does every platform need the same maintenance?
No. WordPress and other self-hosted sites need the most: core, theme and plugin updates, security and backups are your responsibility.
Shopify, Webflow, Wix and Squarespace handle software updates and hosting for you. They still need app management, content updates, link and form checks, speed work and tracking.
Doing it yourself or hiring a company
You can maintain a simple site yourself if someone on your team is comfortable with updates and backups, and has the time every week.
| Situation | Our suggestion |
|---|---|
| Small site on Shopify, Wix or Squarespace | Do it yourself, with occasional help |
| WordPress site that brings in enquiries | Hire a company |
| Online store or membership site | Hire a company with clear response times |
| Nobody in-house owns the website | Hire a company |
| You have already been hacked once | Hire a company, and ask for a security review first |
How we chose these companies
Every company here has a page about website maintenance, a Singapore presence, and enough detail on its own website to describe the service fairly. Each entry is written only from what the company’s own website says, and where a site does not say something, we say so.
We re-check this list every quarter and remove companies that close or stop offering maintenance.
How we look after websites
We maintain WordPress sites we built and sites we did not, after a quick audit. Every weekly update is checked for risk and tested first, backups go off-site daily, screenshots of key pages are compared after each update, and the monthly report shows what we did and what to improve next, in plain English.
We also look after the AI-powered websites we build. If your WordPress site has become slow, fragile or expensive to patch, we can rebuild it as an AI-powered website: custom-coded, with no plugin stack to maintain, and your URLs kept so you hold your Google rankings.
If your site needs looking after, see our maintenance plans or talk to us.
Frequently asked questions
What is website maintenance?
The ongoing work that keeps a website secure, fast and working: software and plugin updates, backups, security monitoring, uptime checks, fixing broken links and forms, and small content changes.
How often should a website be maintained?
Backups and uptime checks daily. Software and plugin updates and security scans weekly. Speed, links and forms monthly. Content, SEO and accessibility every quarter, and domain, SSL and platform reviews once a year.
How much does website maintenance cost in Singapore?
It depends on the platform, the size of the site, whether it sells online, how often it changes and how fast you need problems fixed. Most companies charge a monthly retainer, an hours bank or a fee per job. Compare what each plan includes, and ask whether prices include GST.
Can a company maintain a website it did not build?
Usually, yes. Most maintenance companies take over existing sites after an audit, so they can check the code, plugins and hosting first. Some charge for that first check.
Do Shopify, Wix or Webflow sites need maintenance?
Less technical maintenance, because the platform handles software updates and hosting. They still need someone to manage apps, content, broken links, speed and tracking, and to keep an eye on how the site performs.
What should I do if my website is hacked?
Take it offline or put up a maintenance page, change all passwords, and restore a clean backup or get the malware removed. Then find out how it happened and patch it. If personal data may have been exposed, check whether you need to notify the PDPC.
Is hosting included in website maintenance?
Sometimes. Some companies bundle hosting with maintenance, some work with your existing host, and hosting companies sometimes include basic care. Check the table in this guide and ask before signing.
Does website maintenance help SEO?
Yes, indirectly. A fast, secure site with no broken links or errors is easier for Google to crawl and better for visitors. Some plans also include regular SEO checks.
