Privacy Policy
Last updated: 17 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data we collect through jin-design.com, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it and how to reach us about it. It does not cover work we do for clients under a contract, which that contract governs.
Who we are and how to contact our Data Protection Officer
This website is run by JIN Collective Pte. Ltd. (JIN Design), 7 Temasek Boulevard #12-07, Suntec Tower One, Singapore 038987. For any question, request or complaint about your personal data, email our Data Protection Officer at hi@jin-design.com.
What we collect
When you contact us or request a Pulse demo
We collect what you type into our forms, such as your name, email address, phone number, company, website and message. With each enquiry we also store technical details: your IP address, browser and device, approximate country, the page you sent it from, and how you found us (the website, ad or campaign link that brought you). Our server also checks each form for spam and stores the result.
Our own analytics
We run our own first-party analytics, Pulse, on this website to understand how visitors use it and which pages lead to enquiries. The data stays with us: we do not sell it or share it with advertisers.
To recognise a returning visitor, we give each browser a random visitor ID, stored in your browser and in a first-party cookie named zp_vid that lasts up to about 13 months. A separate visit ID is cleared when you close the tab. Neither contains your name or contact details.
With these IDs we record the pages you view, time spent and how far you scroll, the site or campaign that referred you, your approximate country, and your device and browser type. Pulse does not store your IP address. If you send us an enquiry, we link it to these visits so we can see how you found us.
Other services on our website
We also use Google Analytics, and some of our concept site pages load fonts and images from Google Fonts, Unsplash and Pexels. These services set their own cookies or receive your IP address under their own privacy policies. We do not use advertising tags from Meta, Microsoft or LinkedIn at present, and we will update this policy before we add any.
Our free tools fetch the website address you enter to check it. We do not keep the addresses you check or the results, except that our AI search visibility checker holds a scan in memory for up to 2 hours so it can email you a report if you ask. If you use its AI mention test, the type of business and area you enter are sent to Anthropic, our AI provider, to generate the test answers, and the answers are cached in memory for up to 24 hours so a repeat test that day shows the same answers; please do not enter personal details there. If you ask us to email you a report from our AI search visibility checker, we keep your name, email address (and phone number, if you give one), the website you checked and the report with your enquiry, for 5 years like our other enquiries.
Emails we send you
We send a confirmation when you contact us, and your demo link if you request a Pulse demo. These go through our email provider, Maileroo, which tells us whether the email was delivered, opened and clicked.
Why we use your personal data
- To reply to your enquiry, discuss your project and handle your demo request.
- To understand how visitors find and use our website and improve it.
- To measure whether our ads lead to enquiries (see below).
- To protect our forms and website from spam and attacks.
- To keep records and meet our legal obligations.
We do not send you marketing unless you have opted in, and we do not sell personal data.
Measuring our ads
We may tell Google or Meta when a click on one of our ads led to an enquiry or a new client, so they can report which ads work. Google receives only the ad click identifier. Meta receives your email address and phone number in hashed (coded) form, with technical details such as your IP address and browser. We never share your message. This reporting is not switched on yet, and we will update this policy when it is.
Who we share it with
We share personal data only with providers who help us run the website, and only what they need: Hostinger (our server and database), Cloudflare (network and security), Maileroo and Google Workspace (email), Google (analytics), Anthropic (answers for our free AI mention test) and, once ad reporting is on, Google and Meta. We may also disclose personal data where the law requires it, or to our professional advisers.
Transfers outside Singapore
Our server is in Malaysia, so Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 may also apply to data stored there. Some providers, such as Google, Meta, Cloudflare and Maileroo, may process data in other countries. When we transfer personal data outside Singapore, we make sure it is protected to a standard comparable to Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries, demo requests and the emails we send you: 5 years, then deleted.
- Pulse analytics: about 13 months.
- Security and server logs: up to 13 months, most much shorter.
- Backups: 14 days.
- Google Analytics: up to 14 months. Other providers: under their own settings.
Your choices
You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing our Data Protection Officer. We will tell you what that means for you (for example, that we may no longer be able to reply to your enquiry) and stop using your data for those purposes. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser, or use Google's Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
Access and correction
You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing our Data Protection Officer. We may need to confirm your identity first. We aim to reply within 30 days, and if we need longer we will tell you within that time. If you are not satisfied with our reply, you can contact the Personal Data Protection Commission.
How we protect it
Our website uses an encrypted connection, and our enquiries and analytics sit in a private admin area protected by a password and two-factor sign-in. If a data breach is likely to cause you significant harm, we will notify you and the Personal Data Protection Commission as the law requires.
Children
Our website is for businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you think a child has sent us their details, contact us and we will delete them.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when we change what our website collects or how we use it. The date at the top shows the latest version.
