Modernising Travel Booking

Dynasty Travel is a local travel agency that has been around for 40 years. We revamped their booking app with a fresh logo, clean interface and improved user experience.

Designed to browse and book

Our research told us most users of such travel apps to browse for travel promotions and packages. Less than half made bookings through these apps.

We made the app browsing friendly, with screens comprised mostly of images and text label support. A centrally located menu icon in the bottom of the screen would display items sequentially when tapped.

Keeping these menu items hidden until needed meant users could focus on viewing content, and completing actions like making bookings.

Making Navigation Effortless

The iDynasty app had many pages due to the plethora of choices for travel packages and options. On the homepage, we added a header bar that could be swiped to access core categories. (Featured deals, tours, free and easy, etc)

Enhancing Experiences with Aesthetics

We also redesigned the visuals of the app and its logo for consistency. Blue was Dynasty Travel’s corporate colour, and gold was added to give a touch of luxury. These colours were used throughout the app to reinforce branding.

Appealing to little ones

Kids Club was an add-on in the app, providing a fun way for kids to redeem offers and gifts. Round, bold fonts combined with vibrant colours increased its appeal to children. The profile page was given the look of a passport, and children could choose between male and female baby dragon avatars.

Exploration and booking, simplified

By redesigning Dynasty Travel’s app, we have made it more user-friendly and aesthetically pleasing. Now, iDynasty can serve as a convenient and useful tool for those exploring or booking their next holiday.
